Roasting Green Coffee Beans the Old Fashioned Way
During our visit to Cavite and the coffee farms, we watch how the fresh coffee cherries are dried in the sun on a concrete slab, and then we witnessed the old fashioned method of processing to extract the green coffee bean.
In this video, we watch the green coffee beans being roasted the old fashioned way… in a pan over a hot fire. You can almost smell that sweet aroma that filled the air as we roasted the beans.

Old Fashioned Drying Method
During our visit to the coffee growing region in Cavite, we spent some time studying the way coffee is processed and used… from tree to cup.
This video shows the drying slab at the farm we visited and even though the season was pretty much over there were a few beans drying on the slab.
